Visiting Professor at Lancaster

I’m delighted to share this recent press release from Lancaster University, announcing my new role as Professor of Graphic Narrative. I’m planning to engage with students to examine the dynamics and benefits of comics storytelling. As I say in the article,

“I’m looking forward to exploring the form in English and Creative Writing and beyond, with a particular focus on what’s distinctive about comics storytelling and its potential for conveying complexities in an engaging and accessible way.”

Because of the ongoing pandemic, much of my engagement will be remote, which is far from ideal, but it’s the way it has to be at present.
