Trinity College, DublinBryan and I were invited back to Dublin to talk about Dotter of her Father’s Eyes at another literary event in June 2012. This time we were attending the Dublin Writers Festival in the hallowed halls of Trinity College. Chair: Stacey Herbert.
The day after our talk we were treated to a walking tour of the fair city with PCon organisers Pádraig Ó Méalóid and Deirdre Walsh. Dublin’s Natural History Museum houses an extensive taxidermy collection and so, naturally, it was at the top of Bryan’s list of places to go. Comic(s) Bodies: A Multidisciplinary Symposium
I talked about issues of gender and health in Dotter of her Father’s Eyes, as part of this symposium exploring representations of the body in contemporary comics. The other two keynote speakers were Karrie Fransman and Nicola Streeten.
